Limestone District School Board: Vanessa led LDSB’s Affinity group in a workshop titled Creating Change from Within: Advocacy, Allyship, and Self-Care in Oppressive Systems for teachers, administrators, EAs and align health professional. This transformative, interactive workshop was designed to empower individuals to understand and navigate oppressive dynamics in the workplace. In this session, participants explore the underlying reasons why people stay in or leave oppressive systems, the subtle yet impactful nature of microaggressions and lateral violence, and how to advocate for themselves and others without compromising their well-being.
